This weekend, I want to the Mont Saint-Bruno National Park with my mom. It was a nice little mom and daughter afternoon. I love the fact that it’s at like 20 minutes from my home, so like 30 minutes from Montreal. It’s a beautiful park close to the city. It’s a perfect park to bring your kids too. You can also pick apples in autumn, so it’s amazing. I will definitely come back. Here, some pictures:
I first tried paddle boarding last year in Florida and I fell in love with it. I went to Blueline Surf & Paddle at Jupiter, Florida. A very nice place with nice people and a beautiful view. It's such a nice sport. It's so much fun to do, you have many types of "paddleboarding" such as racing, exploring, river, etc.
Here, in Quebec, it's an evolving sport. We are starting to have some races and having some stores that sell paddle boards. I honestly feel like it will become more and more popular. I did go for a ride at the beginning of June and OMG I loved it. It's just sad that I don't have a paddle board yet because I'll go every day. I am waiting on buying my board because I don't know yet, which type of paddle board I wanna do. Some days I am all about racing and other days I am all about river or just exploring and fishing with it. So, I will have to make a decision about it, but for now, I rent it and go for fun and enjoying it.
I want to share this sport with you because for me it reunites a lot of my passions all in one. I love nature and water and paddle boarding reunites those two. Also, you can go explore with friends and family so it creates great moments and memories, something I like. You can make new friends and set some goals and just have fun and enjoy life. Further, you can go at your own pace so there's no rush or anything.
I went this weekend to my friend's cottage and I did go paddle boarding with her while she was kayaking and it was so much fun. First, the place was so pretty, calm and relaxing and we could both enjoy a sport we love together.
Have you tried paddleboarding yet? Where is your best spot in Quebec for SUP?
Two weeks ago I went hiking with one of my friends. OMG, I love hiking. You are in the woods, smelling the delicious fresh air and just feel alive; there is no city noise, just the woods and you, amazing.
We went to Sutton, Quebec and I just fall in love the Easter Township, seriously. It’s such a beautiful place. However, we hiked the trail that leads us the Sproud lake. It was a very nice trail with beautiful views. Arriving at the lake, we set down for a little while, enjoying the beautiful view, smells and enjoying the moment. You can definitely bring your snack and stuff to do a picnic up there. It was such a nice and lovely day. I would definitely go back.
I used to more hikes couple of years ago because I was in the Scout and went to childhood friend’s cottage a lot more, but the past year I have been hiking a couple of times and I just love it. I would love to go hiking every week and try a new place every single time.
Not only it’s a great workout (Let’s face it), but it’s also a great way to spend time outside, in the woods, with friends and just having a great time. It’s funny how many things you can discover when you are in the woods, not just only fresh smells, and pretty views, but also the fact that there’s a lot more outside big city, there’s a lot more than cars/traffic/industry noises, there are birds, animals winds that go in the trees and stuff like that. It’s just amazing.
I love being in the woods and just walking around. I love nature and everything about it. Hiking it’s a great way to discover it.
I can't wait to go for another hike!
It’s so funny, but I bought myself a hydrapack backpack for paddle boarding, but it happens that its one for bike riding. However, I bought it because it’s the only one I found where I live. I love it btw! I also bought myself a Versa Fitbit for when I workout and more precisely for paddle boarding because it’s water resistant to 50m. I am just truly ready for paddle boarding, a sport that I love.
However, since I am well equipped for bike riding, I started bike riding two weeks ago and fell in love with it once again. When I was a teenager I used to bike ride with my friends all over town and going for a bike ride for fun. Right now, almost every day I go for a bike ride in the old part of my town by to the river and ride to my favorite park where I stop for a couple of minutes the time to look at the beautiful view, smell the great fresh woods air and then I go back home. It’s just an amazing activity to do and to just think about everything and anything. Further, it's a great workout.
I feel like a child or teenager because I go back to my old passion, such as bike riding, outdoors activities. It feels so good to do that. I feel happier, less stress and more alive. I don’t know, I am just going back to my roots and enjoying it so much.
I think we all forgot to take time for ourselves and enjoy life or forgetting to do things that we love or that we used to love when we were younger.
I think this post is the first of a little series of posts that I would probably make about my old passion or activities that I like doing. Keep an eye open for the other ones.
Nature for me is the best thing/place. It's calm and relax. I've realized since a couple of months, that for me nature is very important in my life. I've been in the scout from 7 years old to 16 years old. Camping every summer, skiing, hiking with family and friends since I am young. It's kind of my roots. I want to go back in nature more often and camping, hiking etc.. This is who I am.
I want to spend my free time or most of them in nature or close to it. For example, just by going cycling by the water in my town and going in a little park/forest close to it or by going for a little hike. It's something I wanna do. I feel alive, free and human when I do it. My biggest memories of my childhood are in the woods/nature.
There's a quote that said you always go back to your roots and I think it is true. I have the desire to go back in the woods (deep down) and maybe fishing, canoeing, paddle boarding, hiking, making campfires and stuff like that. Because this is what makes me feel alive. Don't get me wrong, I still love fashion, shopping and be in the city and walking around, but I don't know nature always call me in some ways that nothing else has done.
I don't know why I wrote this post today, but it's how I feel. I want to go paddle boarding, canoeing, hiking, four wheeling, fishing, etc.. this summer. I also want to do some little road trips. I want to explore more and go for adventures and having fun.
This day is so far my favorite one. We go to Jupiter Florida, to go at Blueline Surf (My favorite store, basically). Seriously, I love the vibe of this store because it's all about surf, paddle board, and the surf style. Go also can take SUP lessons and rents some paddle board, so it's pretty amazing. Go check them out if you are around.
We did go chilling at the dock there for a while. It was a beautiful sunny day, so it was nice. After we did go chilling at the Juno Beach Pier where we did see a lot of people fishing. We wish we had a fishing rod. We had so much fun there and enjoy the beach and ocean air. I love being at the beach or close to it.
Seriously, I did really enjoy the day but also making the video below. It's my favorite video so far. I hope you enjoy it! :)
It was actually kind of cold outside, not as cold as Quebec, of course, but still. My best friend had a riding lesson in the morning. In the afternoon we went visiting a park that was close to where she lives. It's called Okeeheelee Park, it's such a big park. We only visit one "lake" that was there. We had so much fun and the next time I come back, we will go there. Once again, we should have brought with us fishing rob since you can fish there.
Here the little video:
I am in Florida with my best friend because she lives there during winter because of the horse season. So, on that morning we went to the barn to check on the horse and also because she had a training too. It's really nice to see how she improve and how good she is now.
After the barn, we went shopping at the Palm Beach Outlet and it was really nice. Lots of stores and amazing deals too.
Here the little video:
So, on day two we went visiting the Lake Okeechobee that is also known as the Inland Florida Sea because this lake is so big. You cannot see each side of the lake when you look at it, it's really like the sea. It was so nice and beautiful. We had so much fun. It's just sad we didn't have fishing rod because you can fish where we stop.
In the afternoon we did go to the pool to relax.
Here the little video:
I traveled from Montreal to Wellington, Florida to visit my best friend this week. I decided to make a little video a day to make sure we have memories of this trip. I really enjoy making them and I love Florida so much.
Of course, day one is more a travel day in the plane and stuff like that, but still, it was an awesome day. You can find the little video below!
Open your eyes to the other videos and posts in the next few days!
About two weekends ago, I went to friend cottage to enjoy a bit more the winter. It was really nice. I had great times with her and her family. We want at a little brewery there for a drink and it was really nice. The brewery is called Brouemallt, for more information about it click here.
Of course, we did some activities such as skiing and snowshoeing. It was really nice. I love skiing and I received new ski boots this Christmas so it was really nice to be able to use them. I went skiing at Ski Garceau, it's a small mountain, but the view is incredible, plus de skiing condition was good too.
For the snowshoeing part, we went into the forest just being her cottage and omg it was beautiful, smell good. You feel so calm and relax back there.
You can watch two little videos I make during my weekend.
Hope you enjoy these two little videos and I hope I give you the taste to snowhsoeing and skiing!!
Florida, it's my favourite place to be. I don't know why, but Florida is like home for me. I feel so good when I am there and life is basically better there. I decided to share with you some pictures I have taken back there. Hopefully, it'll give you the taste to go visit. I stay in Wellington, Florida (where my best friend lives).
Hope to be back there soon!!
I am one of those people who love winter, even if I am always cold, I love winter for all the activities you can do, such as skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating or simply go for a walk in the forest.
Yesterday, my childhood friend and I went snowshoeing and it was amazing. I love being in the woods, it makes me feel alive and I just love being in their, it's peaceful, beautiful and for me, it's my happy place or a place where I feel good. I love doing this outdoor activity, snowshoeing because it's a great cardio sport but, also because you are in nature and you see beautiful landscapes.
We went at Saint-Hilaire Mount, one of my favourite mounts to hike or the go for a walk in the woods. It is such a beautiful place not too far from Montreal, so it's good for a little escape from the city. It's pretty cold outside -16 Celsius degree, but it was such an amazing day. You need a good coat, good boots, and good clothes and you are good to go. A great tip I can give you if you don't want to get cold, do not wear cotton clothing when you are doing outdoor activities during winter because cotton takes time to dry and it's when you get cold.
Hey! I know it's been a while since I blog, but I will be back in 2018, I just had a lot on my plate. My point wasn't to talk about my lack of blogging, but more about 2018. I don't know for you, but each year I make a list of things that I want to accomplish and look back at it at the end of the year to see if I accomplished all of them. In 2017, I am very impressed with how much I accomplish or how many things are on the way to happen. It's crazy. So, I decided to continue in that direction and make 2018 awesome, amazing, filled with happiness, experiences, dreams and making sure I enjoy my life to his fullest.
Further, I want to commit more to my blog and my styling services and all that stuff. Also, I will go visit my best friend in Florida in like a month or so, so I will do something special there too. Maybe some vlogs or something amazing that my best friend and I could always look back at it. I will also take pictures there for the blog and stuff like that.
Let's make 2018 a year to remember and a year of happiness, laughters, experiences, dreams come true and enjoy it to the max without stress, anxiety, worries and fears.
Happy New Year Everyone!! Loves you lots!!
This weekend, the whole “you only live once” kind of make sense to me. You know, when things happen in your life or you heard some news that makes you think about life and how life can be short sometimes, well it’s what happens.
I decided that from now on I will enjoy every moment of my life and do things that I want to do and be positive and happy. Life is too short to worrying about everything and anything and wasting your times on things that don’t matter. You have just one life to live why not making it beautiful, enjoy it and be happy.
I don’t know why, but in the society today, it’s very important to have a big job and make big money and work crazy hours, yes money is great and you need money to survive and buying yourself all the primary needs, but you don’t need money to be happy and enjoy your life. I personally don’t want to live for working, but working for living and doing a job that makes me happy to wake up every morning and that doesn’t feel like work. Life is too short to do a job that makes you feel sad, depressed and make you feel miserable. You need a job that makes you feel important, accomplished, happy, and proud and certainly makes you feel YOU.
I don’t want to wait until I am retired to enjoy life, because you waste a pretty good part of your life and you never know what can happen tomorrow, you only live in the present, so why not making it beautiful and enjoying it. Start by doing things that you love every day, such as workout, watching your favorite Series, seeing your best friends, reading a book, going for a walk in the forest, anything that makes you feel happy, important, calm and certainly alive and make you love your life and enjoying it. It’s a simple thing to do every day, but once you started, you will want to do more and you will certainly enjoy your life more. Make a goal do something that you love every single day, it could be a small thing.
Lastly, I think it' very important you enjoy the present, realize and be thankful for everything you already have. I know it sounds cliché and something that old people will say, but it’s true. I know it’s easy to make a list of everything you want to have in your life, but when you start looking at what you already have, you start realizing that your life is pretty amazing and that you have a lot more than what you think. Further, keep being positive and see your life with the positive lenses and enjoy every second of it.
I like autumn and Christmas. It’s my favorite time of the year for multiple reasons. Here are some of those reasons:
I love when leaves are changing colors, everything looks alive and paint and it’s just so beautiful. I feel lucky and bless to live in a country where we have for season and experience each of them to the fullest, because I can see the beautiful colors in autumn.
I love fashion for the creativity of it and the fact that you can represent who you are with your style and clothes, but there’s nothing better than autumn fashion for the layering. I love layering; you know a t-shirt, plaid shirt, denim jacket and a scarf with jeans, what a great outfit. I feel like layering makes everything cozy and comfortable.
You know when Autumn arrives we are .. I am very excited to the pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks and then when it’s around Christmas it’s the Ginger Bread Latte that I get excited about. I don’t know for you, but there’s nothing better than one of these latte when it’s grayish and cold outside. If you are not into latte you can find pretty good teas that are the flavors, such as the pumpkin chaï from David’s Tea.
A few weekends ago, I went camping at the Yamaska National Park with some friends. It was very nice and I really enjoy it. I used to go camping and did stop for a few years, but it was so good to go back. I usually go camping in the middle woods, like not a national park. Actually, it was kind of my first time, I enjoy it, but I really do prefer going in the middle of the woods to do it because you don’t have to buy the woods for the fire camp and you don’t see you neighbors, something that I do appreciate. However, it was a very nice place.
There is a little lake where my friend and I went spending some time there, just talking and relaxing. It was such a beautiful place to relax and to check the view, it was so calm and honestly ,you didn’t hear anybody, it was like if we were alone in the park. It was amazing.
I love autumn for the leaves color and going camping at this time of the year it’s amazing. Everything was beautiful and the smell of the woods, nothing can smell better than that except the fire.
Mornings in the woods, when the sun comes from the trees it’s just so magical and relaxing. You feel more alive and you feel like you are part of something. I truly needed this little weekend in the woods, like a quote I saw," there’s no WIFI in the forest, but it’s where you will find a better connection" and it’s true.
I recommended you this place if you never did camping before or that you have young children. You can do many activities in the park, such as walk, canoe, bicycle, etc. Further, you are close to the Granby Zoo so that could be fun to go visit.
So, on the last weekend of June I went to Boston with my family and it was a fantastic weekend. I really want to go back pretty soon and visit more, shopping more and basically spend more time there. First of all, it's such a beautiful city with a lot of history and beautiful architecture.
My parents booked at the Taj Boston Hotel. It was amazing. There was a vallet service with a Tiffany&Co inside . Also, they come prepare your bed to sleep before you arrived at night. The location is amazing and the rooms are made with a British Vibe, actually, the hotel architecture is a bit British. Further is well located (In in front of the Public Garden) in the city and it's a Five Stars Hotel.
We try some restaurant along the way for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The one that I want to talk about is called Thinking Cup, it's an amazing cafe where I ate my breakfast the two mornings I was there. First thing, they do the best latte art, second their coffee is just so delicious, third their food is delicious and last I just love this place. I believe their is more than one Thinking Cup in Boson, the one that I went to is the one on Newbury Street.
I don't know for you, but when I visit I love shopping and going to shore that I don't have in my town or near me. So in Boston, you have Newbury street where you can find multiple stores such as All Saints, Valentino, Burberry, Chanel, Kate Spade, etc. You can go around Summer Street where you can find Macy's, Primark and other stores. Also, you can go at the Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall where you can find multiple stores such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Urban Outfitters, Yankee Candle, etc.
I hope you are ready to walk a lot because the Freedom Trail is long and you need to walk it. We didn't truly stop at everything and take the time to visit all the stops on the Freedom Trail properly and it took us 5 hours to do it, but I suggest everyone do it. Maybe for some people it takes less time or more time, but I will recommend to take one day to do it. You have to stop a the Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall where you can find some stores and restaurant and other interesting stops as well.
Public Library & Harvard
I put to two together even if they are not close to each other, but they make me feel the same way, just wanted to get back to school and studied. For real, both of them were just exactly what I always imagine since I am a little girl about University and studies. First, the architecture of the Library is just so pretty and incredible. It's a great place to study and do homework. Further, I believe that you can do your wedding reception in the courtyard. Second, Harvard, such a beautiful school, the architecture is amazing, the campus in Cambridge (The old one) is just so favorable to study. I set down on the step of the library and I did see myself study their everyday ahaha. No, seriously it's just a great place to visit.
You know, Summer is always a great opportunity to do many things that we normally don't do or try new things. So, I decided to share with you my summer checklist. I know it's not a lot when you think about it, but I feel like some of them could be more "category" type of point. For example, traveling includes road trips, visting a new city or new places and other things like that.
Do you have a summer checklist? If yes, what have you put on it? Leave me a comment below!
I don't know if you are like I was before, but it's a lot easier to complain and be jealous of people, things & more than being positive. I don't know why, but in general, we are always looking for negative things instead of looking for positive things.
In the past year, I've been trying to be more positive and see positivity in very situation. It seems very simple to say, but it's a lot more difficult than that. However, it was worth it. I still work on that, because I feel like you can always see more positivity in your life, just by being thankful for what you have instead of looking at what you don't have.
I have realized by being more positive I was less anxious and stress. I was more calm and happy than ever. My relationship with some people around me get better and I become closer to some of them. Something that I am very grateful for. Every single day feels like a great day and feels wonderful because you see positivity everywhere, I know it's difficult because believe me I still learn to be positive every day and change my negative thoughts into good thoughts.
Further, being positive will not just change your day, but your life. Think about that, when you are negative or that something negative happens, most part of the time something others that are negative gonna happen too or the worst thing you imagine will happen. Well, when you are positive, more positive things will happen and the best you imagine will happen too. If it's not wonderful, I don't what is wonderful.
Try it for a day, be positive all day long, look at every situation in a positive way, be thankful for what you have and be positive than being negative and complain about what you don't have. Tell me if you saw a difference in how you feel and how your day as been. ! :)
